What is the D-Tools Data Subscription Program?

D-Tools' Data Subscription gives you access to D-Tools database of over 35,000 industry products entered in the D-Tools format for use with D-Tools SI software. It's purpose is to help eliminate the hassle of data entry and give you a head start on building out your database. As a subscription member you will get access to all of our existing data. Also included in the data subscription is access to extended data (images, brochures and manuals) for all items that contain these features. In addition, you can make requests for product information not currently in the D-Tools database.

How Much Does it Cost?

The Data Subscription Program starts at $64.95 a month with a one year minimum commitment.

Which Manufacturers are Available?

Please refer to the Commercial Manufacturer and Residential Manufacturer pages under Data Subscription on our website. New manufacturers are added at the request of our customers, so please check back regularly for the most up-to-date listing.

How do I request Data for products not in the database?
As a subscription member you'll be able to request manufacturers for addition to our list. The process is as follows:

To request specific model lines or categories for a specific manufacturer please submit the following.
1. Manufacturer name
2. Specific model numbers
3. Hyperlinks to models or product line web-pages
4. Your complete contact information if needed for assistance.
 
If you have a price list for the manufacturer that may also contain model information such as descriptions and dimensions that would be extremely helpful as well. Of course we do suggest that you remove your cost information in order to retain your confidentiality.
 
You may submit your request in an Excel spreadsheet or in the body of your email.
 
How long will my data request take?

The amount of time it will take to complete and publish your request is based on several factors. The number of items requested, the complexity of the items requested (receivers take considerably longer than wires and cables), the availability of information online and the current queue for data entry.
Please note that the minimum turn-around time for any data request is 30 days. This will include the research, data entry and two layers of quality assurance testing on requested items.


It is our goal to complete and publish your requests as swiftly as possible and you will be notified via email when your request has been published and available for download. 

Is there a limit on the number of products I can request?

There is a limit of 100 items per each data request. Depending on the complexity of the request we may be able to accommodate additional items. Additional data requests will be handled in the order received.
