Tech Terminal: Save A Visio File with an Online Folder

Written by D-Tools Team | Apr 27, 2021 11:51:54 PM

This error pictured above occurs when trying to save a Visio file (project) to a OneDrive synced folder.

When System Integrator (SI) runs the drawing code "inside Visio", Visio returns a http path to the Visio file, instead of a local path. When the project file, (dtp) is not stored in a local path and includes a Visio file, SI does not have a method to read web path for the project data.

The only way to fix this is to change your local projects folder (Start>setup>control panel> project folder) to a D-Tools folder on your local machine, then create a symbolic link to a folder on your OneDrive account.

Our development team is actively working on a solution to this issue.
