Major System Integrator Software Releases in 2020

D-Tools is pleased to announce several significant updates and enhancements made to our System Integrator software this past year designed to help av system integrators boost productivity, streamline business processes, and increase profitability.

System Integrator version 13 release features:

  • Service Plans – Define, create, sell, and manage service plans for new and existing projects, extending the reach of SI. Now, users can manage projects in SI from the initial proposal through the on-going post-completion service relationship. Service orders will be linked to service plans to accurately track estimated vs. actual results, both in terms of hours and dollars.
  • Allowance Packages – SI users can now create “Allowance Packages” during the bidding process, and then replace those placeholders with actual products after the contract is signed without affecting the project price.
  • Bundled Wire/Cable Packages – a new Bundled Wire/Cable Package option eases specification and enables connections down to the individual conductor.
  • Payments Processing – the D-Tools Customer Portal now enables users to accept and process credit card and ACH payments from clients.
  • AVaaS via Great America – D-Tools has partnered with Great America to offer financing options that will enable SI users to “bundle” in service plans at with their projects and present a single monthly payment to their end clients that includes the products and labor for the install of the product, as well as the service/maintenance agreement. This gives SI users an easy way to start generating recurring monthly revenue and offer “AV as a Service”.
  • AV-iQ Database Integration – a new integration between D-Tools and AV-iQ provides SI software users with access to a growing, comprehensive library of detailed product information from AV-iQ’s database of products, ensuring data integrity throughout any project’s workflow. When used together, this vital product and engineering data helps users quickly and accurately find, select, and use that detailed information for their proposals and project documentation.

System Integrator version 14 release features:

  • Updated UI – New icons and re-designed ribbons improve the user experience throughout the application.
  • Gantt Charts – A Gantt chart is the optimal tool for project planning and implementation. Create and view tasks and milestones by phase, system and/or location, assign responsible parties, set start and end dates, and identify dependencies. As a data-driven solution, Gantt chart tasks can be virtually instantaneously assigned to the appropriate resource and scheduled for completion.
  • Customizable Checklists – Create customized and reusable checklists that can be attached to projects, tasks, and service orders. Common use cases might include project punch lists or creating a list of tasks and subtasks associated with the completion of specific project types. To expedite Gantt chart development, these templates comprised of tasks and subtasks may serve as inputs to a project Gantt chart.
  • New Business Intelligence Reporting – Build queries across projects, clients, purchase orders, tasks, service orders, and service plans. Results, displayed in either list view or graphical form, enable deeper analysis and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Bulk Purchase Order Creation – To save time, SI users have the ability to create purchase orders for multiple vendors and multiple projects in batch. Common use cases will include ordering items by phase, location and/or system.
  • Client Opportunity Tracking – New CRM capabilities help you effectively manage your sales process. Client Types now include Lead, Prospect, and Client, along with a new field for Lead Source, enabling you to better track your opportunities. Users can also add comments, such as setting tasks and reminders, to help keep things moving and keep teams informed on an opportunity’s progress.
