Customer Success Story: Willtech Migrates to D-Tools Cloud to Succeed in Commercial AV Space

Northwest Arkansas-based Willtech Enterprises is a diverse integration firm serving both the residential and commercial markets. As a company with less than 20 employees, Willtech knows it needs to maximize its efficiency to be successful in the highly competitive commercial integration space. Wesley Travis, systems integration specialist at Willtech Enterprises based in Siloam Springs, AR, has personally been using D-Tools SI for 7 years. About one year ago, Willtech migrated over to using D-Tools Cloud.

“My favorite change from SI to Cloud is how much quicker I can knock out a proposal," he says. "So, before, depending on the size of the project, a proposal would take me anywhere from an hour to a half a day depending on how big the project was. With Cloud, I’m able to knock out just about any proposal within an hour to two hours tops, and those are even large-scale projects. So, it’s really sped up the efficiency of me being able to get those projects out quickly.”

That time savings has translated directly into greater productivity and the ability to bid on more projects, an essential factor for a smaller team competing in the commercial AV world.

Smooth Support, Faster Learning

Switching software systems can often come with a steep learning curve, but D-Tools Cloud’s built-in support made the transition easy for Willtech.

“When it comes to customer support, Travis says the automated Chatbot built into D-Tools Cloud answers almost all his questions, and if it can’t answer the question, a live person from D-Tools is quickly in the chat.

“And in a rare case they may not be able to answer the question, you typically get an answer the same day via email or later on in the chat. But nine times out of 10 I do get an answer right then and there,” he notes.

Travis adds that this immediate access to help was particularly valuable during the early days of learning the platform.

“Especially in the earlier days of learning Cloud, where you are kind of learning where everything is, where are all the shortcuts and where to find things, you can typically get an answer within 5 minutes so you can keep working on the project,” he adds.

That level of responsiveness has helped Willtech stay on track and continue meeting client expectations without disruption.

Advice to Other Integrators

As Willtech continues to grow its commercial portfolio, Travis believes that adopting the right tools makes all the difference. “My advice to anybody that is not using D-Tools Cloud yet or a software that is specific to an integration company is you are missing out on a lot of really cool features that make your job easier and way more productive with what you are able to complete within a certain time frame,” he says.
